New service: website audit
We check a site in eight areas, from security and speed to SEO and accessibility. Each area gets a 0-100 score and a list of specific findings.
A site can look good and still take several seconds to load, send emails that land in spam or fail to show up in Google. None of that is visible at a glance. A website audit puts problems like these in black and white.
We check it with the same tool we use to sign off our own builds. We do not need access to the server or the admin panel: we test what every visitor sees.
What we check
- Security: HTTP headers, TLS, content policy
- Domain email: SPF, DKIM, DMARC
- Speed: Lighthouse on every page
- Technical SEO: indexing, metadata, structured data
- Content and structure: headings, descriptions, dead links
- Accessibility and contrast
- Responsiveness: screenshots at seven viewport widths
- External tools: Mozilla Observatory, SSL Labs, W3C validator
Each area gets a score from 0 to 100, with a list of specific findings underneath: not a general “improve your SEO”, but which page has no description and which link leads nowhere.
Two versions
The report is the result as a PDF: scores, findings, screenshots of the site at seven viewport widths and the results from external tools in one place. It is enough for someone who can read the result themselves.
The audit with commentary adds an engineer's commentary on every area, a prioritised list of fixes split into what can be done without a developer and the rest, and a quote for implementing the fixes. After delivery we walk through the result on a call. You can hand the fixes to us or to anyone else.
When an audit makes sense
An audit makes sense before a redesign, before an ad campaign that will send traffic to the site, and when the site has not been checked for a long time. Prices and turnaround for both versions are in Services, under website audit.
